Southport Conservatives Pay Tribute to former Dukes Ward Councillor Pat Ball

By On The Spot News23rd January 2018

It is with great sadness that it is announced that former Councillor Pat Ball has died.

Councillor Ball, the former proprietor of the Shelborne Hotel, was twice elected as the Conservative Councillor for Dukes Ward which she held until her resignation due to ill health in September 2017.

    Southport MP Damien Moore said:

“Pat was a champion of local government and cared deeply for the residents in her ward. I am sure many will be saddened to learn of her passing.”

“I offer my sympathies to Pat’s husband Norman and their family who had supported Pat throughout her life.”

The Leader of the Conservative on Sefton Council, Councillor Denise Dutton added:

“Pat Ball was not only an outstanding local councillor but she dedicated so much of her life to the people of Southport.

She will be truly missed by all who had the good fortune to have known her. My deepest condolences to Pat’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
