Southport Astronomical Society Meeting Date Announced

The next meeting of Southport Astronomical Society takes place on Thursday March 19 when the society’s very own Bob Mount will be hosting a fun Astro Quiz. You’ll be amazed at what you already know and by the new facts you’ll discover!

If you want to have a go (or even if you don’t but want to watch) the quiz begins at 7.30 pm at Scarisbrick Bowling Club, 1a Falkland Road, Southport. PR8 6LG. Refreshments can be purchased at the bar.

New members are always welcome.

The Society will be hosting its first open day of the year at Hesketh Park Observatory on Sunday the 29th March from 1030am until 4pm. Come along and find out about this masterpiece of Victorian engineering and the people who used the telescope.

Entry is free. There are steep steps to get into the observatory.
