Many spectators appeared to enjoy the first day of the 2025 Southport Air Show. As usual the pilots performed great.
However, others told an altogether different story.
Complaints included:
Several notable aircraft missing from the flight schedule.
Eurofighter Typhoon scarpered away too soon, after allegedly experiencing technical problems.
Overzealous security staff giving mixed signals to confused spectators as to where to stand or not stand.
Public grievances about pushy staff over-eager to do spot checks on private bags.
To top it all off, the rains came down, the brollies went up and the show finished early.
