Stunned shoppers at Southport Asda this afternoon were shocked when a fight broke out over Christmas veg.

A couple and their young grandchild contacted OTS this evening to say they had to protect their granddaughter after two women became embroiled in a physical altercation over a bag of sprouts.

The fight apparently started after the two woman tries to go for the same last bag of sprouts in the store.

An email to OTS said “I couldn’t believe my eyes and I had to whisk my young granddaughter away when two women flew into a rage over a bag of sprouts.

One of the staff came over to defuse the situation and tried to explain there were more sprouts in the warehouse but they wouldn’t listen and kept cat fighting. I’m surprised the police were not called.”
