Motorists are being advised to avoid the Formby bypass near to Altcar after a Bates milk van lost control and overturned spilling gallons of milk across the road.
Police and emergency services have responded to the scene after the driver of the vehicle lost control and overturned it into a ditch near to Altcar just off the Formby bypass roundabout.
Nobody is thought to have been injured in the accident and a full investigation is now being carried out
