Police launch appeal as Merseyrail staff headbutted for refusing travel to drunk passengers

Officers investigating an assault at Moorfields station, Liverpool, are today releasing images in connection.

At 10pm on Sunday 7 November, two men were refused travel by a member of rail staff for being too intoxicated to travel.

One of the men then headbutted the member of rail staff as he tended to an injured member of the public.

Officers believe the men in the images may have information that could assist their investigation.
