Police hunt thieves after golf buggy batteries stolen from Hillside Golf Club.


Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a report that batteries were stolen from golf buggies in Southport.

A report was received at 8.45am that a number of batteries had been removed from golf buggies at Hillside Golf Club overnight, between 8.30pm on Thursday 3 May and 5am on Friday 4 May.

It was reported the offenders had broken gate locks to gain access to the buggies, and damaged the seats of the buggies in order to take the batteries.

It is believed the theft may have been carried out by three offenders between 12.55am and 1.20am.

An investigation has been launched and CCTV opportunities are being explored.
