Police car involved in crash along Liverpool Road, Southport

Police have had less than a smashing time on Liverpool Road, Southport this afternoon (Thursday 3 August 2017).

The panda patrol car was red ended by an over enthusiastic Suzuki driver near to the Liverpool Road cemetery after the police car had slowed down.

Most of the damage was inflicted on the Suzuki while the police car suffered minor number damage and has been taken to a nearby depot to be looked over.

Not only did the red faced Suzuki driver have to deal with the wrath of a backlog of heavy traffic from Ainsdale, but also had to face the mocked of beeping horns and jeers as people realised the unfortunate extent of their error.

Its not thought the police were attending an emergency at the time.
