Police were rushed to Eastbank Street this afternoon after a fight spilled out onto the street.
Two men who were reported to be clearly intoxicated were exchanging verbal insults before the argument turned physical.
Passers by called 999 and two police matrix vans quickly responded and diffused the situation.
They were stood down shortly after 2pm
