Residents proclaimed ‘we are looking at some future stars and we saw them first! another, saying ‘what a lovely group of talented young performers and a pleasure to have an exclusive sneak preview!’

Production coordinator Kelly Bond is no stranger to performing at Athena Health Care homes and felt a real sense of pride when the young people mingled with the residents – ‘I love performing for Athena residents, music evokes the most magical of memories and the songs performed are loved by young and old – we all shared in the same delight this afternoon, its been really special’.

Athena representative Debbie Finlay highlighted ‘Often residents are unable to attend shows at the theatre as they are restricted in terms of mobility, so it was a really lovely idea for the cast of SONG to bring the show to them – everyone loved it. We cant wait to welcome them to our other lodges to share the experience with all our residents’.

A Journey Through Song – a celebration of 40 years of musical memories, will be performed on July 13th and 14th at Greenbank High School Theatre. For further information and Box Office call : ‪07394 653 094‬
