Patients praise hospital staff after surgery ordeal

27th November 2018

Patients at Southport hospital have heaped praise on surgeons after a string of successful operations.

One outpatient at the Town Lane hospital said they couldn’t believe how well their surgery went and how kind the staff were who helped them.

They said “I must write and offer nothing but praise for Southport A&E. I had the occasion to have to visit the A&E after consulting 111 and with speaking to my doctor.

My procedure was small but nevertheless very necessary to avoid serious infection.

Southport A&E is currently undergoing some redevelopment and the conditions for working in are far from perfect for doctors and nurses but they bore this efficiently and with professional work skills. I was in and out within one hour.

The two nurses I saw and the receptionist were kind and carried out their work with cheerfulness putting me at my ease. I thank them all and hope their new working place will soon be up and running making their job a nicer place to work in.

Well done – the staff are amazing.”
