Open your home to Chernobyl children

30th October 2018

Members of the Sefton Link of the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline is appealing for volunteer hosts to help with the children’s next visit in June 2019.

While the world’s worst nuclear disaster occurred more than 30 years ago these children, aged 9 – 10 years old, still live in a radioactive contaminated region in rural Belarus.

Hosting is normally for four weeks but two weeks is also an option depending on circumstances. There is no age restriction for applicants and enhanced DBS checks will be carried out on each family member over 16 years of age.

A full itinerary of activities is arranged for the children each week day to give them the maximum health benefits to build up their immune systems as well as giving them a holiday of a lifetime.

Full assistance and back up will be provided by the link.
