An irate drunk and disorderly male was arrested tonight in Southport town centre after quick thinking officers managed to subdue him.
The male, who is believed to have been drinking at the nearby Willow Grove had been followed by security staff after police had been called to a report of drunk and disorderly behaviour.
The suspect decided to try and run away when he spotted an approaching police van but he was quickly tackled to the ground by officers and subdued before being transferred into a waiting police van
OTS understands the male had become abusive and threatening to staff and customers at the pub before he was asked to leave
