Non swimmer to swimming one mile in just 6 lessons with The Water Whisperer Swim School!

Patricia Simion 13 years old recently won an award from Gail Rickett’s The Water Whisperer Swim School for swimming one mile non stop on only her 6th lesson from a complete beginner!

Patricia only started swimming lessons a  few weeks ago. On her first lesson Patricia told Gail that she’d never been on her back before and couldn’t swim backstroke.  In just 6 minutes of tuition on her very first lesson Patricia learned all of backstroke and within eleven minutes she had swam 100 meters non stop.

After two courses Patricia can now swim breaststoke, backstroke, front crawl and butterfly, her father Simon told us that when she was on holiday, after her mile swim with Gail, she swam 10k non stop. So now they all have had a chat and Patricia is really excited to attempt a big distance swim.

“We are aiming for 3 miles however we will see how Patricia feels on the day, we are all very excited about it.”

Patricia has been one of Gail’s most outstanding pupils this year, achieving a very high standard in a short space of time.

Gail, who is known as The Water Whisperer after appearing on national TV due to her amazing results with her pupils, will be running intense learn to swim courses in the summer over 4 days and will have spaces in September for weekly classes at weekends or after school.
