Emergency services have rushed to King Street tonight after the alarm was raised over concerns for safety of a woman.
Police and fire crews were forced to smash down the door of a first floor flat about the Southport wig centre shortly before 8pm this evening after neighbours raised concerns about the safety of a woman inside the property.
Police remain on scene and a full update is expected from Merseyside Police shortly.
OTS News understands that paramedics have also been called to the scene to provide medical support.
