Mystery carnivore remains discovered on beach

16th January 2020

Beach cleaners combing for rubbish on nearby sands were stunned to find mystery remains yesterday.

The darkened jawbone has yet to be identified after it was discovered by litter pickers on Hightown Beach yesterday in the local Peat beds.

The jawbone, which has been preserved to near impeccable quality is thought to be hundreds or thousands of years old and may belong to a large canine like animal.

The cleaning group have now referred the mystery bone to the Natural History Museum for identification.
