Plans were passed earlier this year to transform the pevious sandwich shop into a micro-pub.
Steve Love is currently transforming the shop on the corner of Halsall Road into licensed premises.
The one-room pub, with bar will cater for 30 people. Two internal walls have now been removed.
A document published on Sefton Council’s website in February read:
“The proposed development comprises the creation of a single-roomed micro-pub within the structural constraints of the building. A small rear portion of the space will provide ancillary sanitary accommodation in line with current guidelines for the proposal.
A small room at the rear of the adjacent unit will be used as a cellar to serve the bar area. The proposed development includes the erection of a 1.8m high timber fence and some in-filling of the existing lm high brick boundary wall to enclose the external amenity space.
Raised planters may be introduced on the brick boundary wall to provide some level of screening to the amenity space.”
