MG Club descend upon Ainsdale’s Arion Pub

Thursday 6th April WLMGOC started there mid-monthly meets this is when the club members have time to socialise over a drink whilst also having a drive out in there MG’s, we have six mid-month meets a year which run from April through till September so as to make the most of the lighter nights and hopefully the warmer weather, which tonight was a little overcast and chilly but it did stay dry all night and considering the time of year and that most of the cars are “rag tops” that was a blessing!

This months venue chosen by our mid-month and events organiser Ron was the Arion pub on Kenilworth Road,Ainsdale,PR8 3PH. https://www.thearion.co.uk/

With it being the first mid-month meet of the year some of the members have still not taken their cars out of mothballs from the winter period and are still languishing in the garage and choose to come in their everyday vehicles but for those that have and braved the elements the line up was a ZT-V6, 3 MGF’s, 1 MGTF, 1 MGA, 3 MGB’s and a RV8. Altogether 26 members turned up on the night and it was nice to see Thomas and Ben two of are junior members accompanying their dad’s.

Of course within minutes of turning up the lady members of the club made a quick exit off the car park and into the pub where they made themselves very comfortable in the warm and welcoming surroundings of the pub.

So with time moving on it was time to leave and West Lancs MG Owners Club would like to thank the Arion management and staff for there hospitality and also letting us bring a load of old cars onto there car park in a specially roped off area, also thanks to Ron for picking and arranging the venue.
