Meet the Adoption Experts in Southport

The decision to adopt children is one of the toughest, yet most rewarding decisions there is.

There is a wealth of information online and through social media, but at Sefton Council’s Fostering and Adoption Service, they understand that sometimes people simply want someone they can talk to face-to-face about growing their family through adoption.

Taking place during LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week (7-13 March), Sefton Council will be hosting the next of its regular adoption information sessions, at The Vincent Hotel in Southport (98 Lord Street, PR8 1JR) on Tuesday, March 8. Introduced three years ago, these sessions have proven very popular.

At the session, you will watch presentations from social workers and recruitment officers and take part in a Q&A session with the team. You can also ask them any burning questions you have on a one-to-one basis, with experienced adopters and foster carers on hand to chat to you.

The session starts at 6.30pm and is a free, non-ticket event. There will be complimentary food and drink, supplied by The Vincent.

For more information about the session, contact Sefton Fostering and Adoption Service freephone 0800 923 2777.
