Mecca Southport has unveiled its new menu put together with the help of customers in Southport, who have had their say on which spring/summer favourites they’d most like to see on the menu.
Mecca has worked closely with its customers to bring some fresh new additions to the menu, which are perfect for the warmer weather and offer great value. The new menu boasts a variety of bold new options and flavours; from vegetarian and lighter bites, to sharing platters, desserts and delicious drinks.
Customers can now enjoy an extended range of classic combinations, with four new signature dishes available from £5.95. The mouth-watering options include Chicken Tikka served with basmati rice, mini poppadoms and naan bread; Cod and Chips; Roasted Butternut Squash and Goat’s Cheese Risotto; and Salmon Steak with Thai Noodles.
The Chicken Shack offers any combination of chicken dish with two sides and a sauce. Whether its chicken breast, southern fried fillets or BBQ chicken wings you are craving, add your sides and choose between BBQ, Heinz™ Firecracker, hot piri piri, Caribbean jerk or curry sauce to complete the £5.25 shack offering.
If snacking is more your thing, the new Chicken Basket offers hot ‘n’ kicking popcorn chicken and three BBQ chicken wings served with chips, onion rings, coleslaw and a choice of dip. The Platter For One combines garlic bread and criss cross chips with a choice of either hot ‘n’ kicking popcorn chicken or mozzarella dippers as a vegetarian alternative.
For a light bite, customers can choose Jacket Potatoes with various tasty toppings, including cheddar cheese, baked beans and tuna mayonnaise, or the new Hot Wraps, which can be filled with southern fried chicken, spicy veg or scampi.
There’s also a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks, ranging from the revitalising Spiced Rum Punch or Gordon’s Apple Blossom cocktail to classic draft and bottled beers, wine and spirits.
To complete the meal, there’s also a selection of new summer sweets including the delicious Cookie Tower – a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two warm white choc chips cookies with a drizzle of chocolate flavour sauce. Apple Crumble is also a new addition to the Mecca menu, as is the Belgian Waffle Sundae, rounded off with a Cadbury™ flake and chocolate flavour sauce.
