Major incident as multiple cars collide near crematorium

Emergency services are currently on scene on Southport Road this evening including first responders after multiple cars collided.

The accident occurred outside the entrance to Southport Crematorium opposite Turning Lane

The cause of the accident is as yet unknown but the road is currently experiencing heavy traffic as fire crews, police and ambulance crews deal with the emergency.

It’s understood the collision occurred just before 7pm this evening and emergency services were called shortly after.
