Fire crews are dealing with a huge blaze which has broken out at a industrial estate in Southport.
Emergency services have rushed to Crowland Close off Crowland Street this evening after a fire raged out of control.
It’s understood the fire started just before 7pm at a scrap metal yard.
Firefighters from Merseyside Fire and Rescue attended with four appliances and were still on scene as of 7.30pm.
Building security alarms on the site have been triggered and security staff were seen trying to get the fire under control before fire crews arrived.
As the fire continues to spread people are being warned to stay away from the area and homes nearby should close all windows and doors.
