Local MG Club Get Bowled Over in Southport

This Friday evening the 4th of November W.L.MG.O.C held our annual social bowling night at the Premiere Bowl and Laser at the Ocean Plaza Southport.

Club members met up at around 19.30 for a 20.00 start, this is a social night that many of the members look forward to as it gives a great deal of excitement and enjoyment to shake the autumn cobwebs away and see if we can still get a strike or end up in gutter!

With 20 members turning up for this social occasion the bowling got under way with a interlude half way through for a most welcome hot and cold buffet.

mg-bowlingSo with the buffet depleted it was back to the lanes and for the second half to begin and with our adjudicator Noel totalling up the scores at the end of the second game it was time to announce our winners and in first place for the ladies it was Alison.

And for the gentlemen the winner was Ralph who incidentally scored 7 strikes in the first game alone.

Alison and Ralph both displaying there winners trophies.
And with time moving on at 22.50 it was time to make tracks for home with not a mention of MG’s or car trouble a great night was had by all.
West Lancs MG Owners Club would like to thank the Premiere Bowl for their hospitality and the excellent buffet provided on our behalf and also to Jerry for coordinating the event.
If you like socialising, car runs whilst having a bit of fun with like minded people and have a classic car you would be most welcome to join the W.L.MG.O.C we meet every third Thursday 8.00pm at Briars Hall Lathom or check out our Facebook page (West Lancs MG Owners) or even have a look at our website www.westlancsmg.co.uk
