Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron will be visiting Southport tomorrow (Friday) lunchtime to support Lib Dem candidates in the local election campaign.

Besides meeting John Pugh MP and Lib Dem council candidates, Tim will also be visiting a mental health project near the town centre and promoting the need for Southport to have better rail links to Manchester and beyond.

Tim Farron is presently MP for Westmorland & Lonsdale, which is the Lib Dems strongest seat in the country. Like John Pugh MP, Tim has a strong team of local councillor in his constituency to back him up and deal with local issues.

Tim Farron MP attended the same sixth form college, Runshaw College as do many Southport Sixth formers. He grew up in Preston and Leyland.
