Laughing gas epidemic returns as Castle Street blighted

28th July 2017

Castle Street residents are furious after waking up this morning to find the street littered with laughing gas canisters and used balloons.

The secluded residential street between Union Street and Hill Street is seen as a perfect spot by those looking to get high away from prying eyes.

This morning furious residents found canisters of 'laughing gas' and balloons, which are used as the most effective way of getting high from the drug, scattered across the street and most left in a patch of grass to the rear of a Lord Street business.

One resident, who didn't want to be named, said: "its disgrace that this happens and the only reason they come to Castle Street is because the lighting down here is terrible and nobody ever seems to patrol it.

"The only people you get walking down here are either going to the pub or coming from it so someone should have seen these kids doing the gas.

"This used to be such a lovely little street."
