Knife recovered close to Southport nightclub

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police commented.

Police are working with door staff at pubs & bars across Merseyside to find weapons as part of #OpTarget – On Saturday night, during a routine check of the nearby area, staff at @nocturnalsouthport recovered this knife behind the club.

They also use knife wands to screen everyone coming in to the club to make sure no one gets in carrying something like this. Carrying any weapon is dangerous, stupid & could lead to someone losing their life – leave them where they belong, in the kitchen!
