Is Labour’s takeover owed to filth rather than stealth

Could Labour’s plans for political takeover owe more to filth than stealth?

The young Labour MP who took over from former Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg at the General Election earlier this year has resigned in shame from Parliament’s women and equalities committee after revelations he publicly asked ‘Girls Aloud’ to have an ORGY with him in online posts.

Sheffield’s newest Labour MP, Jared O’Mara, posted an online advice column asking the pop group for an orgy. He is also reported as saying it would be ‘funny’ if Jamie Cullum was ‘sodomised to death’ with his own piano. The remark comes just days after Labour leadership hopeful Clive Lewis was exposed for telling a Party activist to ”get on the floor bitch!” at a social event.

In a comment posted on the ’Drowned in Sound’ music website in 2004, Mr O’Mara said: ”Girls Aloud – I advise you to sack Sarah and the remaining four members (Nicola, Cheryl, Nadine and Kimberley) come have an orgy with me.”

He wrote of Jamie Cullum: ‘It would be no great loss to the music world if he was sodomised with his own piano and subsequently died of a sore arse. In fact, it would be quite funny.”

O’Mara made even more shocking postings on the ‘Morrissey Solo’ website message board includes calling homosexuals “fudge packers” who “drive up the Marmite motorway” -. and attacking gay people for being “bitter and resentful about being homosexual”.

“Just cos he writes about gayness and gay issues, doesn’t mean he drives up the Marmite motorway, or for that matter, allows someone else to drive up his…

“I find it funny how some homosexuals think they have the monopoly on being subject to abuse, they should try being Ginger…”

Mr O’Mara, who is ginger, said he was ‘deeply ashamed’.about his invitation to the pop group to have sex with him in an online mock advice column posting.

Of his remarks, Mr O’Mara says: ”I was wrong to make them, I understand why they are offensive and sincerely apologise for my use of such unacceptable language.”

”I will continue to engage with, and crucially learn from, feminist and other equalities groups so as an MP I can do whatever I can to tackle misogyny.”

Labour sources said there are no plans to instigate any disciplinary action against Mr O’Mara.
