Hillside’s Grasshopper OPEN for Business

The Grasshopper has geared up for The Open this week with the unveiling of a new outdoor drinking area. The outdoor area has smart new banners and parasols supplied by local company KC Workwear. It is hoped that it will be a hit with visitors to The Open at Royal Birkdale Golf club only 400 meters away.

A busy week is planned at The Grasshopper.

Tuesday night sees Peter Rimmer and friends performing in ‘The Open’ mic night. A night of golf related folk music!

Wednesday night has a Golf related quiz. Angie the landlady said ‘ It won’t be Question of Sport, it is a bit of fun and will be very loosely about all things golf’

Drinkers are even being offered golf cards featuring the 18 real ales on offer through the week as an 18 hole course.

The Grasshopper is in Sandon Road just down from Hillside Train station and is open from 11 a.m. to 10:30p.m. for the week of The Open.
