Hesketh Park Heritage Group say farewell to Project Manager

HESKETH PARK HERITAGE GROUP held a reception recently, at the park café for David Richie, a former Project Manager, who was retiring from Sefton Council.

Tom Glover, founding Chairman of the group since its inception almost 20 years ago, for the refurbishment of the Park, welcomed members informing them of Dave’s association with the park.

He was the 3rd officer appointed for the park and served in this capacity, as the longest, for many years.

He was always accessible and took a real interest in Hesketh Park’s progress, helping the park’s voluntary groups achieve many things in these stringent times.

There is still more to do and Dave’s liaison with the Council will be greatly missed by all.

The Chairman expressed the gratitude of members, supported by Vice-chairman of the group, Adrian Fletcher.

Following refreshments, David Richie was presented with a picture of Hesketh Park in the snow, painted by local artist, John Duffy, and would be a reminder of Dave’s association with the park, one of the oldest in the country.
