Head on collision – Sussex Road, Southport

The emergency services have closed the junction of Poplar Street and Sussex road, Southport following a head on collision at around 4pm this afternoon.

Witnesses at the scene told our reporter: “Occupants of both vehicles have escaped without serious injuries, however paramedics are currently checking them over.”

Police are currently on the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
