Crown Con is currently the only dedicated convention for fans of the worlds number 1 tv show, A Game Of Thrones. The celebrity convention, set to take place over 2-3 April, is an independent event designed to raise funds and awareness for Southport Fibro Info, a local self funded support group that helps sufferers of the debilitating illness Fibromyalgia.

Unlike your average Comic Con a dedicated weekend event will give you a lot more time to meet and chat with the attending celebrities. There will be question and answer sessions with the guests, autograph sessions, your chance to get a professionally done photograph with the celebrity of your choice, a traders room with loads of geeky merchandise, themed parties and probably some of the best fan costumes you’ll see at any convention.

Convention GroupSet to take place in The Prince Of Wales Hotel on Lord Street, Crown Con will be the UK’s number one place for fans of the show to meet up with old friends, make new ones and share stories of their favourite episodes, characters and books relating to the worldwide hit. Creator of the event chose the charitable cause because he himself is a lifelong sufferer of Fibromyalgia. “We are hoping that the whole town will get behind this event. We are looking for attendees to join us and have some fun, we have traders with some fantastic memorabilia, we are getting some great support from local businesses such as Jo Rutherford Photography and Bar & Burger restaurant on Ocean Plaza. We are still looking for sponsors to help us with the event and bring celebrities from the show to Southport.

For anyone who would like to buy a ticket there are cheap day tickets available that also include the after show party, full weekend tickets, even options that include free autographs. For all the information please check out www.Mersey-sci.com
