Formby Primary Schools Hockey Tournament

Formby Hockey Club held it’s fourth annual primary schools’ hockey tournament on Tuesday, May 16th. The event was attended by Y6/Y5 pupils from Freshfield, St. Jerome’s, St. Luke’s, Trinity St. Peter’s and Woodlands primary schools (pictured) who are all part of the club’s hockey development project.

The standard of hockey was amazing with Woodlands and St. Jerome’s sharing the trophy after golden goal extra time couldn’t separate the teams.

Formby HC’s development project is in it’s fifth year so pupils taking part have been playing the game, in some cases, since Year 1 and many of players taking part also attend hockey sessions at the club. We would like to thank our partnership schools for their continued support of the project.
