Flytippers strike at popular nature hotspot

12th April 2020

Bin bags bursting with rubbish have been strewn across Hesketh Road after joy riding flytipped threw their waste out of a car window.

With the tips closed and binmen struggling to keep up, some residents have taken to flytipping their rubbish miles from their homes to avoid detection.

This morning residents of Hesketh Road woke to find their street littered with rubbish after a bin bag was tossed from a car window into the road.

Residents are now worried that rare birds on the nearby marshland will try and eat the rubbish and choke on the plastic waste.
