Fire crews called to ‘out-of-control’ garden fire in Southport.

Fire crews were called to a house blaze in the Cemetery road area of Southport last night, Tuesday 7 August 2018.

Emergency services were called and two appliances responded after a suspected blaze in a garden on Cemetery which had spread.

Fire crews were also positioned on Hampton Road where they were tasked with putting out the fire.

A local resident told OTS News: The fire was in a back garden, the fire brigade had to go round back, they got axes to smash down the fences it was bad, we could smell a gas smell.”

There are no reported injuries
