Emergency services called to distressed pensioner in Southport 

Emergency services were called to Castle Street, Southport this morning (Thursday 13 April) after an elderly woman reportedly became stuck in her bathroom.

Police, fire and ambulance services – concerned for the woman’s safety – rushed to the scene this morning.

However by the time they arrived the woman had managed to free herself from the predicament and after being assessed by paramedics, was given the all clear.
