Emergency services have been called to a suburban area of Ainsdale after a series of reportedly serious incidents this evening.
Emergency crews from all three main blue lights services were dispatched to the area around the Sandbrook estate shortly before 10pm.
Online comments from residents in the immediate area reported hearing a loud bang while eyewitnesses at the scene reported that a person in distress had been seen on nearby Liverpool Road and was attended to by paramedics.
An OTS reporter on scene confirmed there was also a large police presence in and around the grounds of Ainsdale Health and Wellbeing Centre.
