Die hard gamers roll the dice for charity

23rd October 2018

Die hard fantasy gamers will be undertaking a 24- hour non-stop challenge to raise funds for charity.

The 24 Hour event will be held at the Prince of Wales Hotel on Lord Street, Southport from 10am on Saturday, November 17. It is the fourth annual challenge and organisers say it will be of ‘epic proportions’ to raise funds for mental health charity, Mind.

Role-playing gamers assume the role of a character, generally in a fantasy or science fiction setting, and they interact within the game’s imaginary world.

There will be 24 straight hours of role-play gaming, with a tamer 12 hour option for those who value their sleep.

The ‘Pure Mode’ session will run from 10am until 10am the next day; the ‘Mellow Mode’ will feature two 12 hour events from 10am- 10pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and for those who want a more chilled and social event and the ‘Rush Mode’ will be a 12 hour event from 10am on the Saturday and is for gamers who want to take part but can’t commit to 24 hours or both days.
