Southport’s up-and-coming bands and musicians delivered spirited performances at a special Halloween gig at the weekend.

The Devastation event was held in the resort’s Temperance Institute in London Street and was organised by the Up:Front Music Project (based at Meols Cop Youth Centre) and The Rhythm Rooms Recording Studio.

Bands and singers included Maddie Stenburg, Daniel Astles, A Glitch In The System, The Cards (pictured), Leap of Faith plus headline band Battalia.

Many of the performers – and their enthusiastic fans – dressed in Halloween fashion and as expected the zombie look was the most popular.

Martin Hovden, who hosts the Live Sounds show for Southport’s unsigned bands every Wednesday night on Mighty Southport Radio, was there to film the event and here’s the video
