Crime Prevention Tips

Burglars usually prefer darkness. Lighting in and around your property is important. Good external lighting can deter burglars

  • All main entry points to your property such as front and rear doors including Patio doors should be well lit. Particularly doors at the back of a property that are out of sight from passers -by.
  • For internal lighting investment in plug- in timers in various rooms set to come on and go off at various times, gives the impression someone is at home, even when the householders are away from the property.
  • Closing curtains when it goes dark prevents would be burglars noticing any valuable possessions in your home that could be of interest to them.
