Convicted Camera-Crushing Councillor Wont Quit

11th January 2020

A suspended Merseyside Labour Councillor has declared that he will not be resigning from his elected office after being found guilty of criminal damage in court. District Judge Wendy Lloyd has found Councillor Cummings guilty of criminal damage.

An angry Councillor David Cummings, paid by the public to represent the Wavertree ward, said he won’t quit his post and accused local journalists of harassing him as he made his way out of court after being found guilty of criminal damage by breaking CCTV cameras installed at the social housing block where he lives.

Councillor Cummings is presently suspended from the Labour Party while investigations are going on into his behaviour, caught on camera,  calling Labour MEP Theresa Griffin a ‘pathetic little f*****g b***h’ and five formal complaints from women who accused him of “volatile and aggressive” behaviour.
