College to hold open evening to boost enrolment

7th October 2021

KGV Sixth Form College in Southport is inviting people to enjoy two Open Evenings this autumn – and is excited to be able to welcome prospective students and their families back on campus!

The Opening Evenings take place between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesday, 13th October and Tuesday, 9th November.

KGV Sixth Form College Head of Marketing Ruth Start said: “We are looking forward to hosting two Open Evenings this autumn. These are really exciting events and the perfect way to get a taste of college life, speak to tutors face-to-face and explore our fantastic facilities”.

Ruth Start said: “Last year we were unable to hold these Open Events face to face, so it will be great to be able to see prospective students here again. We are looking forward to welcoming lots of Year 11 students to come and have a look around, as well as students from Year 9 and Year 10 who may be keen to start thinking about next steps. Parents, carers and younger siblinsgs are of course all very welcome too!

“Whether you know which subjects you want to study, or whether you don’t, it doesn’t matter. This is the perfect opportunity to fact find and discover everything you need to know.

We have a lot of subjects at KGV which students may not have studied before, including Politics, Psychology, Philosophy, Animal Management and Film Studies; so our open evenings are very hands on, with lots of different activities to try out, as well as staff and current students on hand to answer all your burning questions!

Open Evenings at KGV Sixth Form College are very informal events, they run from 5-8pm and you are welcome to stay for as long or as little as you want to. College Principal, Michelle Brabner will be giving short talks in the theatre at 5.30, 6.15 and 7pm, but aside from that there are no set times.
