A woman who fell from a nightclub balcony in a Southport this morning is being treated for critical injuries.
The 20 year old woman is believed to have fallen from a height just before the Hey Amigos nightclub closed this morning around 3am.
Detectives confirmed that they were called at 2.55am today (Sunday, September 4) to Hey Amigos nightclub on West Street where a woman is reported to have fallen from a balcony.
She is currently in critical condition in hospital and remains under observation.
It’s understood the the incident had taken place in the smoking area of the venue.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports over concern for safety at around 2.55am after a woman fell from a balcony.
“A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition. Officers remain at the scene and we’re not looking for anyone in connection to the incident.”
