Cllr Barton, a leading campaigner for the restoration and regeneration of the town centre spoke to OTS News regarding his progress made on behalf of his constituents relating to the recent tarmacking of the Clay Tiles along Lord Street:
LORD STREET SOUTH CLAY TILING REINSTATEMENT:-
Having been contacted by multiple constituents ranging from Business Owners to nearby residents, upon my own correspondence with the “Sefton Highways Department” I have been informed that this “is just a temporary reinstatement in advance of some repaving work on that section of the footway.”
Naturally I shall continue to monitor the situation closely as I seek to make progress towards retaining and wherever possible enhancing the Lord Street Conservation Area for both the local community of present residents & businesses in addition to those prospective investors that also appreciate grand Victorian style architecture.” Onwards & Upwards!
