Free advice services to help penniless and poor money managers in Southport has been set up by the CAB.

The free advice service will be available at their Wright Street centre from 3.30pm to 7.30pm for anyone seeking help and guidance on money and/or budgeting.

Citizens Advice Sefton development manager, Jane Groves said:

“We began operating this service in South Sefton at our Bootle advice centre last year and we have seen many resid money or budgeting issues such as rent arrears, council tax arrears, credit cards and payday loan problems, magistrate court fines, gambling debts and more.

“We were asked by North Sefton residents if we could provide a money advice drop-in service in Southport, so this is what we have done. We feel the residents will benefit from this service and look forward to helping as many as possible.”
