RTC Sussex Road Southport, Friday 10 January 2020.
The emergency services were called to Sussex Road with the junction of St Lukes Road Southport, at approximately 11.10am following reports of a RTC.
Sussex Road is currently in chaos after two cars collided at the junction with Ash Street bridge this morning.
One car is believed to have chanced a light change and collided with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
Both cars spun out of control and crashed into the wall of the Sussex Road mosque.
Police have been called to the scene and are advising motorists to avoid the area while debris is cleared away.
