Car stolen from sleepy Birkdale street overnight

Residents are being urged to keep their eyes peeled for a stolen family car after thieves struck overnight in a quiet area of Birkdale

During the early hours of this morning thieves broke into a house in the Clifford Road area of Birkdale, eventually making off in the homeowner’s car.

The car is a blue ford freedom connect WAV. Reg: SF17

Thankfully the occupants were unharmed during the ordeal but are shaken by what has happened.

If you live in the birkdale area especially arround Clifford Road please be extra vigilant and if you have any CCTV that may have captured the people stealing the car to please call 101 immediately

The owner is also asking residents to keep an eye out for Kate spade sunglasses being sold.

They are black with flowers on the arms and prescription issued
