Car rear ended on Waterloo Road

Two cars have been involved in a minor shunt in Birkdale this evening.

A silver saloon was rear ended by another car just after 5pm this evening.

Police were informed and a passing patrol car spoke to both drivers to establish what happened.

It’s thought the saloon performed an emergency stop with the rear vehicle following too closely behind to apply the brake in time.
