Car crashes into Manchester Road pedestrian crossing bollard, Southport.

The emergency services were called to Manchester Road, Southport following reports of an RTC (Sunday 21 May).

A car turning right from Queens road towards Lord street crashed into the traffic island at around 12:05am.

The drivers vehicle was stuck lodged up against the pedestrian crossing signal bollard. Paramedics were first to attend the scene.

A merseyside police spokesperson said: “We are currently dealing with a single vehicle RTC on Manchester Road, Southport. Road temporarily closed for investigation. Please avoid.”
