Burscough FC Vs Southport CANCELLED
Southport FC are unable to get a team together for the pre season friendly against Burscough.
A spokesperson from Burscough said:
“Southport sustained injuries on Saturday and are unable to raise a team for Tuesdays friendly, we wish the players a quick recovery and best wishes for the season.”
Hundreds sign Treadwell out petition
Nearly 150 have singed a petition asking for the new Southport board to be booted out.
It states: “James Treadwell and Adrian Shandley were involved in a shoddy takeover of Southport FC. They’ve since added two more directors who already appear to be deceiving the fans.
They were complicit in a bid to remove existing directors of our football club and lied to supporters about the shareholdings that Charlie Clapham and Sam Shrouder retained in the club, leading supporters to believe they had disposed of those shares.
The lies and inaccuracies and cover ups are a daily farce at Haig Avenue. In their short tenure they’ve alienated the fans and appointed a manager who has previously been charged with racist related offences and another manager to accompany him in Alan Lewer who has never achieved any success.
