Perfect Portal has similar beginnings. Yvonne Hirons started Perfect Portal in 2015 in a small room in Churchtown, Southport, to provide affordable technology to Conveyancing firms to generate quotes fast, either over the phone or online. The success of Perfect Portal stems from being able to develop technology that helps law firms better service their clients.
Yvonne says “Law firms haven’t always been given the best technology to manage their clients. To some degree, they have been failed. Having worked in the legal market, I wanted to give something back to the industry, which is why I started Perfect Portal. Our clients are benefiting by being able to get a faster decision to instruct and our agile technology means we are able to develop and deliver updates quickly with regular releases.”
Their story is one that shows how small businesses can be successful globally with the right ingredients. Perfect Portal, with headquarters in Southport, has seen rapid growth over the last year and now provide their technology to more than 100 clients across England, as well as having an established a customer base in Australia. However, as with any technology business, finding talent remains a challenge.
Yvonne continues, “In the UK, we have quickly grown to 15 employees and last year, we began to operate in Australia where we are seeing enormous growth. Our challenge is now to build on our local talent pool and to attract more developers, sales people and account managers who have demonstrable skills. We know that Southport holds plenty of talented people who can really add to the business and I’d be delighted to hear from anyone out there looking to grow themselves with a local and global technology brand.”
